Decisions

  • Visual-document renderer ships behind the existing capability check. No flag.
  • Canvas tool surface is retired — present_visual_document is the single render path.
  • expectedRevision is now required, so colliding sub-agents always get a conflict.

Open questions

  • Do we need a patch_visual_document tool, or is replace-only enough for v1?
  • How should the surface adapt a 16:9 document to a portrait phone?

Next steps

  1. Wire the demo index at /demo.
  2. Draft the e2e scenario suite from usecases.md.
  3. Revisit the validator's contrast threshold for intentionally-muted text.
